Vasectomy is a small procedure to divide and resect and small segment of the vas deferens which carries the sperm from the testicle to join the rest of the ejaculate. Most of the ejaculate comes from the seminal vesicles and the prostate.

Vasectomy is considered a permanent form of contraception and is usually performed as a simple day case procedure.
